Special Administrative Region.
The Public Service Commission was set up in 1950
as an independent statutory body. The Public Service
Commission Ordinance and its subsidiary regulations
(Chapter 93 of the Laws of Hong Kong) stipulate
its remit.
The Commission's fundamental role is to advise
the Chief Executive on civil service appointments,
promotions and discipline.
This homepage provides general information on
the Commission and the organisation of the Commission
